Logan’s Mill

OUR HISTORY:

This is the historic Logan’s Mill. The flour and grist mill was built in Brussels, Ontario in 1915, more than a century ago. It sits along the mighty Maitland River. In its glory, it was a vibrant part of the community. Then in the ‘60s, the doors finally closed, the fate of so many mills across Ontario.

OUR PRESENT:

The Historic Logan’s Mill building became neglected, rundown, unsafe… but it has good bones. The stone foundation remains intact and the abandoned structure’s shell is in good condition.

OUR VISION:

A group of volunteers wants to restore this building as a community space. An elegant backdrop to weddings and picnics. A gathering place for lectures.  A site for tourists to experience… another reason to come to Brussels…  A vibrant center once again whilst preserving a piece of our local built heritage.

OUR FUTURE:

The historic Logan’s Mill Restored, revitalized… ready for another 100 plus years… Donate today to realize this new vision of built heritage for the future of our vibrant community!
